Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information SkipperPrep collects, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

What we collect

  • Account details. When you register we store your name (optional), email address and a hashed credential via our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
  • Learning progress. We store which lessons you’ve completed, your quiz and mock exam attempts and scores, flashcard progress and scenario results, linked to your account, so you can continue where you left off on any device.
  • AI Tutor messages. Questions you send to the AI Tutor are processed by our AI provider to generate a response. Don’t include personal or sensitive information in tutor questions.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your personal data.
  • We don’t send marketing emails without your consent.
  • We don’t collect more than the service needs to function.

Where your data lives

Account and progress data are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Google acts as a data processor; see Google’s own privacy documentation for details of their safeguards. If you use the site without an account (local mode), progress is stored only in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deleting your account removes your progress permanently. Contact us through the site to exercise any of these rights.

Cookies and local storage

We use the browser storage needed to keep you signed in and to save progress in local mode. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will note it prominently on this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
