Scenario

Fog Rolls In

A straightforward coastal hop turns serious when visibility closes to 200 metres. Manage the boat, the sound signals and the navigation until you can see again.

Decision 1

You are three miles out of Pennor Haven aboard Kittiwake, bound along the coast for Braywick, motor-sailing at 5 knots in a light northerly. The horizon ahead has gone soft and grey, and the headland you could see ten minutes ago has vanished. Visibility is closing fast.
